The goals of this organization are to empower immigrant and refugee women and children from Africa in the Kansas City area, and also help to improve the lives of women and children living in poor communities in Africa. Specific objectives are to:
- Organize outreach programs to promote healthy lifestyles (health education, disease prevention, physical activity, etc) for immigrant women and children.
- Serve as a resource to immigrant women and children from Africa for information about schools, educational opportunities, healthcare and jobs – as a means to facilitate the acculturation process.
- Organize events that promote the African culture in the Kansas City metropolitan area.
- Partner with local organizations in the United States to provide medical and non-medical supplies to support agencies or organizations in African countries that provide women and child wellness programs at no cost or reduced cost.
